POSITION SUMMARYPerforms routine accounting, purchasing and accounts payable duties following established policies and procedures, to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Maintains documentation in compliance with policies and procedures for internal control and external audit requirements. Verifies and checks the work of others and refers unusual problems to supervisor. Performs administrative duties for Controller as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Voucher entry / Voucher Audit
  • Scanning and linking all documentation
  • JP Morgan Chase VISA statement review
  • Maintain vendor IDs in accounting system
  • Help run payment process (checks and e-checks) that occurs twice a week
  • General office and administrative duties
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree or GED
  • Three years or more of relevant work experience
  • Effective personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc
  • Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Acute detail when it comes to planning and organizing
  • Proficiency in the ability to be adaptable to changing work priorities; excellent individual efficiency
  • The ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within the department and with campus partners
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Office bookkeeping experience and administrative experience are preferred.
