Financial Controls Consultant

Location: West Des Moines, IA

Job Description: As a Financial Controls Consultant, you will play a critical role in our financial reviews process. Your responsibilities will include issuing written risk ratings, providing detailed overviews of financial statements, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance. You'll also assist analysts by handling administrative tasks related to supplier service requests. While a CPA background is desirable, it is not mandatory. We value candidates with finance or accounting expertise, regardless of specific industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with the line of business and enterprise functions on financial reporting, information technology governance, and control and oversight matters.
• Identify compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area.
• Provide oversight for testing and monitoring in moderate to complex subject matter or control areas.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders throughout the enterprise.
• Implement, operate, and report results related to the company's policy, governance, and oversight framework.
• Support the implementation of moderate to complex projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, analytics, reporting, or business and technology audit (or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education).
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Excellent research abilities.

Additional Notes:

• Net new position.
• Contract duration: 6 months (with flexibility).
• RTO schedule: 3 days in the office (flexible).

Interview Process:

• 30-minute interviews with Rita and James.
