The New Hampshire Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Responsibilities:

Student Advocacy and Support:

  • Provide one-on-one counseling to students, addressing academic, personal, and career-related concerns.
  • Advocate for students' needs and collaborate with fellow educators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Career and Academic Planning:
  • Assist students in developing comprehensive academic and career plans tailored to their individual goals and aspirations.
  • Provide guidance on course selection, college admissions, and vocational training programs.
Empowerment Through Workshops:
  • Conduct workshops on study skills, time management, stress management, and other relevant topics to enhance students' personal and academic growth.
College and Career Exploration:
  • Facilitate exploration of post-secondary education options and career pathways, connecting students with valuable resources and industry insights.
  • Collaborate with local employers and community partners to organize job shadowing, internships, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited school (including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction) required.
  • A minimum of one-year experience in counseling or related field.
  • Prefer previous Job Corps or related program experience.
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License and meet company insurability requirements.
