Martin Mariettais currently looking for a motivated, reliable individual to operate a Scaler to help with the production and safety of our Underground Randolph Mine. This position is for a day shift, working our 4 on/4 off schedule.

Essential Functions

• Operates Scaler to remove loose material from underground mine
• Grease the Scaler daily
• Performs and records daily preventative maintenance
• Daily pre and post trip inspections are required on plant and scaler
• Help maintain all of plant yard area
• Perform other duties as required

Work Environment

This job operates 100% of the time in an underground or surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
