Job Description

Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager to join the Culture and Counsel platform within the HR team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting and implementing programs defined by our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. Your main responsibility will be to collaborate with the Directors and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of these programs, which are designed to promote diversity, and inclusion within our workplace.

Responsibilities:

Program Development and Implementation:

  • Work closely with the Diversity and Inclusion Directors to understand the vision and objectives of the diversity and inclusion programs.
  • Assist in developing strategies and action plans to operationalize the programs effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the flawless integration of diversity and inclusion initiatives into existing processes and practices.
  • Assess and evaluate the progress of the programs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure their success.
Partner Engagement and Communication:
  • Collaborate with the Diversity and Inclusion Directors to engage key partners, including senior leadership, managers, and colleagues, in the programs.
  • Support the development and delivery of communication materials to promote awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for partners seeking information or guidance on the programs.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and discussions to educate HR partners, colleagues and leaders about key initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect and analyze data related to diversity and inclusion efforts, providing insights and recommendations to the Diversity and Inclusion Directors and HR Leadership.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and updates to communicate the impact and effectiveness of the programs to partners including HR, business leaders, and the D&I team.
  • Collaborate with HR and analytics teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection and reporting.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, research, and methodologies in diversity and inclusion.
  • Share insights and recommendations with the Diversity and Inclusion Directors to continually enhance and evolve the programs.
  • Find opportunities for innovation and improvement in diversity and inclusion practices within the organization.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Sociology, Organizational Development, Business, Communications) is preferred.
  • 5 years of proven experience in supporting and implementing diversity and inclusion OR colleague engagement programs, preferably in a complex global environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and applicable work experience may be considered.
  • Understanding of diversity and inclusion theories, and frameworks with willingness for change and curious mind set.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Analytical approach with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive decision-making and measure program effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, with a passion for driving positive change within the workplace.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $103,100.00-$154,700.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
