Industrial Engineer

Vertiv is hiring an Industrial Engineer in Ironton, OH to perform and evaluate work measurement and workflow analysis for the establishment of standards and the utilization of the Vertiv production facilities. The Industrial Engineer develops plant and equipment layout, capacity plans, workflow and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities and may provide product assembly instructions and standard assembly practices. The Industrial Engineer evaluates new techniques and technological developments for inclusion in the production process. The Industrial Engineer provides direct support of manufacturing operations to include Process Improvement, Methods Analysis, SFA Documentation and Productivity Improvements. The Industrial Engineer is also responsible for Capital Budget Development, Capital Equipment Acquisition and Manufacturing Capacity Analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Identify Manufacturing Process constraints and design and implement Manufacturing Process Improvements.
• Verify BOM accuracy.
• Document preparation of work instructions.
• Identify and select Manufacturing Capital Equipment and prepare necessary appropriations requests.
• Compare forecasts against Machine and Process capacities and implement improvement plans.
• Create Time standards.
• Establishing unique routing for special products.
• Advise Product Engineering on product development and design.
• Participating in appropriate cross-functional programs and projects.
• Lead Interplant Product Transfer projects and New Product Development projects.

Education and Requirements:

• 0 to 2 years of engineering experience.
  
• BSME/IE/EE or related engineering discipline.
  
• PC Proficient.
• MRP Proficiency required.
• Understand and apply Methods Analysis.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of Products and Processes.
• Experience in design tooling and manufacturing fixtures.

Travel: 10%
