We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to start immediately for a leading bank in Newport Beach, CA. This is a 100% on site position in Newport Beach, CA. Banking experience is nice to have, bilingual in Chinese is nice to have.

JOB SUMMARY

Monitor and maintain computer systems and network of the branch; provide technical support to and coordinate with other system related projects and services.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide basic technical support to IT Helpdesk activities including issue response, systems, process and planning
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to users with application, service and hardware difficulties
  • Troubleshoot server and network problems
  • Set up all new computers and perform all security updatespatches
  • Document any network or PC-resolution for future references
  • Manage EPO Endpoint Protection and Data Loss Prevention tools, implement technical controls and help establish security policies
  • Installing patches and updates to all servers, workstations, network devices and printers.
  • Provide Security Awareness training bank-wide
  • Assist in documentation for auditors and examiners during annual reviews
  • Coordinate with system user to update application, enhance system functions and report and fix and troubleshoot system errors
  • Participate in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies and new branch banking system
  • Ensure that all printers and fax machines are working properly
  • Conduct annual disaster recovery BCP drill
  • Communicate with head office as well as various vendors for IT support

JOB SPECIFICATION

Experience:
  • 3 years of experience in bank IT support
Education & Professional Qualifications:
  • College degree or above
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Highly skilled in installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware/software faults and solving technical and applications problems
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent collaborating skills with external service providers to ensure system operation and safety
  • Ability to manage a project and its budget
  • Working knowledge of VMware, SonicWall, Trellix EPO, MS SQL & Active Directory.
  • Understanding of core internet technologies - including but not limited to DHCP, DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (communication in Chinese is a plus)
