Job Title: Laminator Operator
Hourly/Salary: Hourly
Grade Level: BN2
Status: Full-time
Departments: Mill
Reports to: Travis Locklear
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (some overtime on Fridays)
Hourly Rate: Min $14.35, Midpoint $17.94, Maximum $21.53
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing set-up and operation functions relative to the press department and ensures that all equipment runs efficiently and that products are free of any defects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs the set-ups and start-ups on the laminator according to customer specifications.
* Establishes proper parameters for laminator
* Ensures that machines are provided with adequate material to complete jobs correctly and efficiently.
* Ensures that work order specifications are followed according to an established
* Performs quality checks on products to ensure product is manufactured according to customer specifications.
* Ensures that machinery is always working properly.
* Troubleshoots the laminator for problems and makes the proper adjustments.
* Ensures housekeeping duties are performed on the plant floor.
* Follows all plant safety procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
* Assists other team members as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* High School Diploma/GED preferred, in lieu of education, extensive knowledge of all processes associated within the scope of the respective team may be considered.
* Manufacturing/work experience and willingness to learn to operate required positions in the mill.
* Ability to operate laminator safely and accurately.
* Record of successful team support, meeting work performance expectations and commitment toward continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
