Job Summary

The Lead Advanced Practitioner for the Emergency Department is part of the management team and is responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of the Advanced Practitioners (AP's) in the Department. Duties include recruitment, orientation and training of newly hired Advanced Practitioners, monitoring and evaluating AP's in conjunction with the Supervising Physicians, participation in quality activities and conflict resolution and working with the Management Team to develop operational policies and procedures. The Lead Advanced Practitioner also provides direct patient care as part of the Advanced Practitioner Team.

Overview

Reading Hospital, located in West Reading, PA is seeking a Lead Advanced Practitioner to join the busiest Emergency Department in Pennsylvania and a very collaborative team of 40+ providers and Emergency Medicine Residents. The Emergency Department has state-of-the-art technology with extensive multi subspeciaty support. The Lead Advanced Practitioner will be an integral part of the Emergency Department management team with overall responsibility of supervising and mentoring all APPs in the department. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of leadership experience in the Emergency Medicine environment.
