JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible to direct and perform the operations of a 25-50,000 square foot warehouse for a variety of functions and duties which include but are not limited to shipping, receiving, inventory input, tracking and management in a software system, use of a forklift, and back-up delivery driver.

The Position:

  • Reports to the Senior Facility Manager
  • Works with little supervision
  • Interfaces with shipping and delivery firms, and different client organizations


RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment.
  • Lead and manage warehouse associates, provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Input equipment deliveries into client Asset Management system.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Acknowledge and take receipt of all incoming and outgoing material in FileNet system.
  • Properly package and manifest parcel, LTL, and large freight as required to ensure product integrity throughout the transportation cycle to intended destination.
  • Responsible for all aspects of shipping
  • Oversee and ensure all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checked for damage, and correct asset inventory numbers and quantity as required.
  • Manifest consignments with information provided by requestor and schedule movements accordingly based on delivery demand (FedEx, UPS, 3PL vendors, expedite courier services, etc.), ensuring that each package has the correct information and configuration to guarantee intended delivery conditions.
  • Create shipping documents, packing slips, shipping labels and BOL's meeting the clients. processing requirements.
  • Create/print identifying labels for all material/packages being shipped for traceability.
  • File and maintain records of shipping documents per departmental guidelines.
  • Perform cycle counts to assure proper inventory.
  • Track critical shipments and update delivery status to requestors.
  • International Shipping -
  • Responsible for system integrity for all shipments including coordination with requestor and distribution to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with best business practices.
  • Accurately update required tracking systems (spreadsheets, modules, external data sources)
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment per safety procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in area.
  • Coordinate internal receipt pickup and internal delivery service as required.
  • Support the organizations metric goals and objectives.
  • Perform picking function of material and hardware as required, ascertaining that all parts are accounted for.
  • Operate electronic systems including:
    • SC360
    • FileNet to process shipping and receive documents (Electronic filing cabinet)
  • Position is responsible for daily delivery/courier program and may need to backfill driver when he is unavailable.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Warehouse environment
  • Supervisory experience and experience in managing the daily operations of a shipping and receiving center.
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Valid Driver's License

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with completing a Pro forma invoice (commercial invoice)
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft, Excel, and Power Point
  • Certification operating a forklift or other material handling motorized vehicles and equipment (will train and assist with certification if not certified)
  • Strong people skills and ability to work independently with little direction.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
  • Reading comprehension, multitasking, critical thinking, coordination
