Litigation Paralegal

We are currently seeking a skilled litigation paralegal to support attorneys handling cases for leading automotive and medical device manufacturers in San Diego. This position involves working on a variety of matters pending in State and Federal courts throughout California.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years (preferably 4-5 years) of litigation experience in a law firm setting
• Proficiency in case preparation from start to finish and understanding of a paralegal's role in the litigation life cycle

Responsibilities: As a key member of our team, you will:

• Prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions
• Coordinate with third-party distributors to obtain records and coordinate inspections
• Prepare medical records summaries and chronologies
• Assist in the preparation of deposition notices and deposition materials
• Track and manage discovery, including document productions
• Participate in litigation strategy meetings

Qualities We Seek: The ideal candidate will possess:

• 2 or 4-year degree and paralegal certificate preferred; work experience may substitute for education
• Experience with document production and discovery
• Litigation experience on the defense side and trial experience
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership over projects
• Positive attitude and a team player
• Proficiency in technology, for research and case management, and willingness to learn new software
• Attention to detail to enhance teamwork, client services, and efficiency

Firm Details:

• Largely a remote office with occasional in-office meetings and special events
• This role has a hybrid schedule, onsite and remote work
