How will you make an impact?

As a member of the PSG IT Core Services Team delivering solutions & support to the site in partnership with global functions. Provide technical leadership to the members of the end user support team and partner with site business leadership to drive efficient technology solutions.

What will you do?

  • Lead the IT Site Service Function for Pharma Services. The primary services delivered include, but are not limited to, support during site level expansions, Major Incident Management events, Quality, Regulatory, or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits. GxP regulatory support and customer-specific data delivery.
  • Provide direct technical support to manufacturing, corporate and laboratory staff, addressing hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects related to system upgrades, network improvements, and software implementations within the environment.
  • Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to ensure GxP guidelines are followed, including data integrity, audit trails, and documentation practices.
  • Collaborate to develop and align IT support processes globally to meet business and quality needs including support of regulatory audits, investigations, and CAPA.
  • Key contact to support site capital projects and act as IT Authority (SME) for new or existing IT systems and production equipment to insure it is installed according to global security and Data Integrity (DI) requirements.
  • Collaborate with Global Infrastructure Services and/or Global Applications to fully leverage Corporate shared services and to implement company standards.
  • Understand and implement the company's system architecture standards and policies to enhance efficiency and support business colleagues. Aligning with company's Global IT Policies & Procedures
  • Ability to simplify demanding concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Identify process issues, prioritize, and implement automation and communicate outcomes.
  • Participate in industry / functional area groups / forums and integrate / implement new lessons learned.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including computers, servers, and laboratory instruments, while ensuring they meet compliance standards.
  • Resolve technical issues related to software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring alignment with GxP regulations, CFR 21 Part 11, and IEC 62443 standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, standard methodologies, and regulatory changes across the site and business unites, and GxP environments.
  • Collaborate with business colleagues to understand support needs and develop effective partnerships in a matrixed environment that deliver first class IT services to business colleagues.
  • Champion innovation by demonstrating technologies used at other Pharma Services / Thermofisher sites. Embody ThermoFisher 4i values: integrity, innovation, intensity, and involvement.
How will you get here?

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant, IT related work experience.
  • Demonstrable experience with GxP regulations (GMP, GLP, GCP), CFR 21 Part 11, and IEC 62443 standards, to implement IT solutions in compliance with the required guidelines.
  • Experience with networking concepts, protocols, and configurations.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instruments and software commonly used in scientific research and data analysis.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams and end-users.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies in a wide-ranging environment.
  • Solid experience supporting Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 & 2012 2019, VMware Virtualization, Enterprise Storage Arrays, and Backup Systems
  • Prior experience supporting a mix of on-premises, hybrid, and Cloud-based applications.
  • Experience of working in a regulated pharma environment, preferably
  • Experience in safeguarding company assets and preserving data privacy (e.g. GDPR)
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Computers Systems Validation (CSV)
  • Experience in working with IT colleagues across various geographies and disciplines.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification a plus
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Validated history of leading IT teams and delegating duties and tasks as applicable.
  • Broad knowledge of application software, and IT security required, including experience in interpreting business needs, hem into support services.
  • Ability to work in a team structure, make decisions, tackle problems, communicate inside & outside the organization.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical business partners.
  • Strong customer service/relationship building skills.
  • Capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on sound judgement and fact gathering.
  • Ability to quickly understand and adjust to evolving business needs.
  • Strong negotiating, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.
  • Clear understanding of the project management lifecycle
  • Proven flexibility to juggle and prioritize numerous tasks.
  • Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skills.
