Summary:

• This position supervises maintenance activities for production equipment, buildings, and utilities, including ammonia compressors, offal, and the Wastewater Department. It entails overseeing a team of personnel engaged in similar or interconnected tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing plant improvements and expansions.
• Ensure thorough training of maintenance staff in operating equipment and other maintenance skills.
• Constantly monitor plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, troubleshoot problems promptly, and identify issues.
• Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system for work order tracking and maintaining appropriate inventory of replacement parts.
• Implement a comprehensive training system for maintenance personnel and provide necessary resources for skill development.
• Maintain a tracking system analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, and PM compliance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, OSHA, PSM, and environmental regulations at company, local, state, and federal levels.
• Supervise purchasing and usage of parts, equipment, materials, and supplies in the maintenance department.
• Oversee maintenance of refrigeration and wastewater systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Manage the maintenance budget and achieve financial goals.

Computer Skills:

• Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five (5) year of work experience in Fresh Meats beef or pork.
• Minimum two years of maintenance management experience in Fresh meats beef or pork.

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations and external candidates will then be reviewed for consideration.
