Job Description Summary:
PayPal is a global company operating in the competitive and dynamic Payments industry. The Treasury function plays a critical role in our product development lifecycle and in shaping the future of money. PayPal is seeking a driven and experienced treasury professional to join our global Treasury Product Enablement team. Members of this team play a direct role in the success of new product launches such as cryptocurrency investing, savings, bill pay, and buy now, pay later, among others. The role is based in San Jose and will support US and APAC product initiatives, working closely with the Product and Payments teams to launch new products and design money movement requirements powering growth at scale. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Treasury Product Enablement in San Jose, CA.

Job Description:

Job responsibilities:
  • Proactive partnership across Treasury, Product, Risk, Legal, Sales and Finance teams to enable timely execution of product offerings, driving bottom line growth.
  • Determine and advise Product and other teams on the money movement requirements to support new and existing products.
  • Support PayPal product expansion and global reach into new markets, collaborating closely with Product, Business Development and Global Core Payments.
  • Partner with the Global Cash Management team to operationalize product cash movement.
  • Partner with the Treasury Transformation team to communicate key product initiatives that will require changes to the Treasury infrastructure and capabilities (e.g., cyrptocurrency trading, banking capabilities, etc.).
  • Partner with the Treasury FX team to operationalize new FX products.
  • Drive Operational Excellence in Treasury processes aligned with Treasury policies and controls that achieve business efficiencies.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Finance or Business degree preferred, MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 5+ years of combined experience in finance, treasury and product management
  • Experience in payments, banking, or fintech industry preferred
  • Demonstrated product management experience and a passion for the payments space
  • Experience with treasury business processes, systems and concepts
  • Demonstrated organizational agility and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Significant intellectual curiosity and desire to learn PayPal Treasury and Product functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to clearly articulate ideas in presentations
  • Strong quantitative finance experience, knowledge of markets and financial products, and Excel modeling proficiency
  • Able to take initiative and work independently, however, collaboration as part of a uniquely qualified team is required
  • Highly dependable, with ability to drive things to conclusion across teams
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Knowledge of SAP, Quantum and online banking systems preferred
