National Instruments is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be responsible for managing projects and driving improvements of processes within the Manufacturing Global Repair organization. The Project Manager for Global Repair will also be the single point of contact / owner for Manufacturing Repair. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational, project management, communication, and people skills with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects in support of global process Improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure achievement of Global On Time Delivery (OTD) targets for customer repairs. This includes providing direction, removing barriers and ensuring success for the Operations' teams

  • Develop/improve processes to provide useful customer return data to the organization to reduce or eliminate design and process issues

  • Coordinate with internal organizations (Sales, Marketing, HW/SW Engineering, Production, etc.) to ensure timely project design/development, process development

  • Develop, document and maintain applicable Manufacturing related business processes in targeted geographical regions.

  • Develop, own, and manage the 3-5 year roadmap for the Manufacturing Global Repair organization.

  • Document, analyze, and communicate lessons learned


  • Job Specific Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of global logistics/supply chain challenges, especially as it relates to reverse logistics

  • Able to effectively lead or work in cross-functional teams involving Manufacturing, R&D, Sales, Marketing, Services, and others

  • Willing to work in a rapidly changing environment where flexibility, negotiation, and persistence are required

  • Capable of developing scalable processes that can be used globally

  • Capable of developing distributed global teams with consistent regional execution


  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience as a Project Manager

  • Bachelor's degree required in a Technical (EE, ME or CE) or Business discipline. Technical degree is preferred

  • Experience in Project Management and Customer Service is a must

  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP (Oracle Depot Repair) is a plus

  • Knowledge of NI products and test platform is a plus
