Greenville, NC/Pharma Services Group - Drug Product Development

How will you make an impact?

Creates and implements a schedule that is in line with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OPs) Plan. Ensures most efficient resource utilization via continuous communication with Operations and identify capacity constraints.

What will you do?

Figures out feasibility of the detailed Manufacturing/Packaging (MFG / PKG) schedule, based on Master Production Scheduling (MPS) run, aligned w/ Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

  • Completes risk assessments and mitigate risks to ensure the delivery performance required.
  • Checks production readiness and material availability to enable execution of the detailed MFG / PKG schedule and initiate related actions if necessary.
  • Resolves short-term MFG / PKG planning problems.
  • Allocates planned production to the production lines (incl. maintenance, development blocks).
  • Communicates detailed MFG / PKG schedule to relevant partners.
  • Prepares process orders aligned w/ detailed MFG / PKG schedule and based on approved Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Hands over, in a timely manner, work orders and related instructions to Production.
  • Updates TIER board and participate in daily MFG / PKG TIER meeting.
  • Follows up on work orders and samples not turned in on time (e.g. during TIER meeting).
  • Works in a safe and responsible manner in order to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace. Aligns with all job-related safety and other training requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
How will you get here?

Education:

Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Experience:

Three years of relevant experience in Planning/Buying, Scheduling, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Purchasing or Quality Assurance (QA) is preferred.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of the various planning functions relative to manufacturing process capabilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques, working knowledge and application of planning functions related to Capacity Planning (CPS), MPS, MRP, and interfacing systems (i.e., QA, Forecasting).
  • Understanding of Marketing needs in relationship to process capabilities (production, material and QA lead times).
  • Interact with a variety of disciplines and resolve conflicts.
  • Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter, mature, independent and dependable.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure, able to multi-task and is results-oriented.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Requires discretion and independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead professional staff in order to achieve goals, evaluate and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Ability to motivate, energize, and retain key staff by direct interactions with supervisors and staff.
Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
