Cumulus Nashville is seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Communications Manager to lead their marketing and promotion department. Cumulus Nashville is home to Middle Tennessee sports leader 104.5 The Zone, Titans Radio, 99.7 SuperTalk, Urban leader 92Q, and the country power-house duo 103.3 Country and 99.5 Nash Icon. In addition to these dynamic radio stations, Cumulus Nashville produces live, local events, original content Podcasts, and YouTube Channels.

Job Summary: The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of the marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, contesting and station promotion. They will design, develop, and distribute consistent themes, messaging, and branding throughout all communication touchpoints. The Marketing Communications Manager will understand media usage, our clients, and users and develop focused communications in collaboration with organizational stakeholders across functions. Additionally, the Marketing Communications Manager will explore and adopt new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing and promotion communications. They will oversee the planning and execution of major Cluster and/or station events, Promotions, and contests as well as overseeing the digital strategy and implementation for the brands. The Marketing Communications Manager will develop the internal and external resources required for campaign delivery.

General Responsibilities:

  • This is a unique role in marketing and promotion, as it not only delivers against brand awareness and reputation but also must work cross-functionally to drive revenue and business results.
  • This person will take on a variety of responsibilities and play a leadership role on the Nashville leadership team
  • Manage promotional programs and drive overall growth and success through strategic planning and execution of brand-building and consumer-focused campaigns.
  • Develop, execute and measure promotions and branding strategies to deliver against key objectives of: driving listener awareness and engagement, development and execution of events and client-centric sales promotion campaigns
  • Supervise the planning and execution of promotional campaigns across multi-marketing audio (station) channels
  • Leads the department by managing integrated sales and brand promotion initiatives across all brand (audio stations) channels
  • Works with team members to track campaign success using performance data related to email campaigns, digital advertising, website engagement, earned media, internal team member engagement, survey outcomes and other metrics, social media, and other promotional communications channels.
  • Collaborates across departments to meet strategic key objectives.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Canva, social networking platforms and basic audio/video Promotion tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent grammar and editorial skills
  • Strong time management skills; adept at setting priorities
  • Serious attention to detail, ability to multitask, juggle demanding deadlines
  • Stress tolerance especially under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Effective collaborator with multiple levels within an organization
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Education and Experience:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience may be required.
  • Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
