We work to support Black, Latinx, and military veteran startup founders and help them grow their companies. We're looking for a creative marketer to let founders know about our programs and offerings, and to get credit for this impactful work in the press.
This person will work side by side with the Marketing Manager to grow the Google for Startups brand in the US and to promote our work to support underrepresented startup communities and founders.
The marketing coordinator will: Understand the user deeply: Be an expert on startups. Communicate how Google's products and programs can support their business growth. Build relationships with these communities and earn trust with founders in our programs, to serve as ambassadors for Google.
Drive press and brand love: Implement marketing strategies to achieve Google's priorities in local markets (cities/states), driving brand awareness and brand love with local policymakers and press.
Promote our programs: Identify and execute innovative program marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive awareness, engagement, and adoption leveraging various channels such as digital/social campaigns, print publications, offline activations and events, etc. Our programs include the Google for Startups Founders Academy, Accelerator, and Black Founders Fund, etc.
Tell the stories: Develop success stories, and work cross-functionally to format, produce, and distribute these stories through the right channels and audiences, driving awareness of the impact of Google for Startups.
Manage Agencies: Manage agency relationships and internal / external creative and media planning resources.
[Must have] Ability to work in a highly cross-functional environment to drive stakeholder alignment and scaled communications.
Demonstrated capacity for developing program marketing strategies, with substantial exposure to holistic marketing campaign planning and execution (including user targeting, driving program applications, creative strategy/media mix development, social campaign execution).
[Must have] Strong knowledge of and/or passion for startup ecosystems.
[Must have] Strong leadership and interpersonal skills combined with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
[Must have] Organized self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
