Location: Wilder, MN
Salary: $70K to $75K + O.T. + Bonus
Description: Our client, an International USDA Meat Processing Company, is currently seeking to hire a Cut Floor General Foreman on Day Shift

What you will be doing:
  • Assist with overall operations of the cut and processing floor
  • Assist in overseeing a crew of 3 to 4 supervisors and 125 to 150 hourly employees and report to the Production Manager
  • Provide direction to supervisors in regard to product specifications (fat, trim, etc.)
  • Work together with QA, HR, Maintenance, and Harvest Management to execute vision for the plant
  • Assist with ensuring the quality of products
  • Use software to assure that production schedules are met and working with scheduling managers when adjustments need to be made
  • Execute safety processes and maintain OSHA standards
  • Implement and maintain KPI goals for supervisors and processing floor
  • Meet USDA compliance requirements
  • Interpret and enforce company policies.
  • Maintain a positive and constructive work environment.
  • Assist in the determination of manpower needs and make recommendations.
  • Responsible for tracking overtime and labor variances based off daily tracking
  • Perform daily labor walks, safety walks, Covid-19 walks, KPI walks, and quality product shows
  • Responsible for the training department, which includes production trainers, knife room operations, and PPE supply
  • Make sure SOP, SSOP, HACCP, and GMP requirements are being met across the processing floor
  • Work with Continuous Improvement team to find labor saving opportunities and equipment Improvements
  • Any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Production Manager

What you need to have:
  • High School Diploma (College degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Production Operations experience in the USDA Meat Processing Industry (Cut Floor experience a must).
  • 2+ years of experience managing Production Supervisors
  • Strong managerial and coaching skills
  • Experienced in assessing manpower needs and making recommendations.
  • Continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Strong track-record for meeting safety, production and quality goals.
  • Knowledge of SOP, SSOP, HACCP, and GMP requirements
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations/compliance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish a big plus
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work from 6 AM to 3 PM plus
