Education: Required - Master's degree from an accredited university, in one of the following areas: psychology, social work, counseling, or another related human services field. Must have a license as a LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC-I, LMFT-A, or LMSW. LMSW clinicians must be actively pursuing LCSW licensure, receiving external supervision by a board approved supervisor.
Requires Perinatal Mental Health Certification PMH-C or must begin training.
within 120 days of hire date. (Training will be paid for by BCFS HHS with a 2-year
commitment.

Experience: Required- 1 year experience working with perinatal health, early childhood development, and/or early infant relationships. A master's degree in a social service-related field may be used to substitute for one year of experience.

Supervises: None.
Summary: This position is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population
especially in crises situations while maintaining compliance with established state and federal standards.

Essential Functions:
1. Assesses personal mental health needs of clients; helps to meet those needs by providing counseling services and referrals.
2. Provide perinatal mental health services to clients to address the topics including but not limited to:
a. Maternal/Infant Mental Health
b. Postpartum Depression
c. Postpartum Anxiety
d. Birth Trauma
e. Perinatal Mental Health
f. Intergenerational Trauma & Attachment
g. Relationships
h. Parent-Child Interactions
i. Social-Emotional Development in Infants
j. Parenting Concerns and Challenges
k. Grief and Loss
3. Maintain a client caseload of 10-15.
4. Offers in-person, and virtual counseling for individual adults, and to assigned
couples/families as appropriate.
5. Develops detailed Individual Treatment Plans for each client and regularly assesses progress, providing updates of the Treatment Plan as needed.
6. Maintains timely and accurate file documentation and data entry that meets the program requirements.
7. Report any suspected abuse or neglect to the Program Director and all appropriate state and county enforcement agencies.
8. Meet all deadlines required by Program Director, Clinical Director, or state/federal partners.
9. Maintains own schedule of office visits, in-home visits, virtual visits, special events, and outreach events.
10. Identifies and maintains professional relationships with clients and community partners.
11. Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service training, and case consultations if required for contract needs.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Measurable Deliverables:
1. Meets all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
2. Completes client intake assessment; analyzes to determine client needs and Treatment Plan goals and objectives.
3. Compiles and analyzes statistics and outcomes for grant reports.
4. Teaches mental health skills as needed.
5. Develops, monitors and reviews with the individual an action plan designed to increase strengths, address needs, and reduce conflict in the home.
6. Assists in providing information for all files and program documentation, including quarterly and monthly reports, data entry and other documentation or reports as needed, with accuracy and timeliness.
7. Locates community resources to meet additional client needs.
8. Prepares presentations, training and facilitates groups that address topics related to maternal and infant mental health.
9. Coordinates/participates in resource fairs in the community as assigned.
10. Enters required Salesforce data for all clients within 3 business days of client contact and submit monthly reports as specified by Program Director.
11. Compiles, prepares, submits, and maintains accurate records, files, forms and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing and/or contract requirements.
12. Implement BCFS safety protocols including evacuating clients and other staff in case of an emergency.
13. Maintains confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program
operations.
14. Maintains BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in the BCFS employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with the required dress code, at all times.

Credentials, Skills and Abilities:
1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to; First Aid, CPR, LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-I.
2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control, and professional composure, at all times.
3. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
4. Pass pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years)
5. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and
socio-economic characteristics.
b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
c. Work in a fast-paced environment.
d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
f. Travel as needed.
g. Manage time effectively and efficiently.
6. Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
