Shearman & Sterling is seeking a Mid-Level Associate (3-7 year) to join the Firm's Tech practice group in the Austin office.

The ideal candidate has a strong experience in M&A and Venture Capital matters and strong academic credentials. The Austin Tech practice involves the representation of venture capital-backed companies, strategic, private equity and venture capital funds in financings, public offerings, M&A transactions, formations, operations and corporate governance matters and securities law reporting and compliance matters.

Additionally, strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills are required. A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school is required.

Shearman & Sterling's compensation is aligned with the standard market-rate salary scale. The good faith, annualized salary range for this position is $215,000 to $415,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law such as, education, training, other responsibilities. The annual salary range listed is just one component of Shearman & Sterling's total compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
