NETWORK ENGINEER III

ALPHARETTA, GA

This position will be required to work in the On-Call rotation and will be required to work during the Monthly Weekend Maintenance Change Window.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

Automation, Orchestration, and Monitoring (Primary) EOL and IOS Upgrade Lifecycle Management (Primary) Triage Production Issues (Primary) Network device management, implementation Routing and Switching (Layer 2 and 3) Project Management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certifications: CCNA or CCNP
  • 3+ years of network engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • Experienced and proficient in the following:
    • Upgrading and configuring Cisco Switches and Routers
    • Aruba Wireless Access Controllers (WLC) and Access Points (WAP)
    • EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
    • VXLAN - Virtual Extensible LAN
    • Cisco Nexus
    • Cisco IPSEC, Cisco Anyconnect
    • Cisco NAC (802.1x)
    • Understanding of DHCP and DNS
    • VLAN, NAT, PAT, ACL, STP, HSRP
    • IPv6
    • CheckPoint Firewall
    • F5 Load Balancer
    • Cloud Platforms - AWS, Azure, Google
    • Solarwinds Orion Network Performance Monitor
    • LiveAction
    • NetBrain
    • ThousandEyes
    • Understanding of NetFlows
    • Usage of Microsoft Visio
    • Infoblox
    • Extrahop
    • Gigamon
    • TACAC

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work in a team building environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to display an aptitude for learning and a troubleshooting, or debugging mindset
  • Understanding of the importance of diligence in documentation
  • Understanding of IT security challenges as they relate to data networking
  • Evaluate current network infrastructure and provide insight on potential improvements in both technology and processes
  • Functional understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and IP networking (LAN/WAN)
  • Work closely with other information technology service areas (Network Operations Center, Application Development, Database Administrators, Windows and Linux Systems Engineers, and Desktop Support) to deploy new solutions
