JOB DESCRIPTION
New Student Experience and On-boarding specialist
(Temporary position)
Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, this position supports all incoming students from the point of confirmation to their first day of classes. This person will assist in managing the onboarding support of all new students, including orientation, enrollment, financial aid, and student success. This staff member manages the onboarding for all degree and non-degree seeking students. This position also liaises with the Chief Enrollment Office & Registrar, and Director of Financial Aid as needed for the duties of the position
Responsibilities
Enrollment and New Registration Onboarding:
• Manages student enrollment at point of confirmation, which includes registration, financial aid, billing, student support services, online orientation, technology solutions, etc.
• Coordinates the introduction of newly enrolled students to their Student Services Advisor or Program Director
• Manage the registration process for non-matriculated students
• Orchestrate Getting Prepared to Start; a program designed for 1:1 onboarding coaching with each new student
• Liaise with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Services Advisors, and Program Directors to manage the confirmation to registration process
Financial Aid Counseling/Literacy
• Provides students with knowledge of the scholarship, financial aid, and billing options offered at Bank Street
Student Support:
• Conduct outreach and follow-up to enrolled and first-time registered students
Admissions
• Offers administrative support to the Director as needed for the goals of the unit, which may include attendance at information sessions, reading of admissions applications, application outreach, or connecting with admitted students before confirmation.
Events
• Supports and attends information sessions, welcome week, convocation, orientations, graduation, and other graduate school events as needed
Qualifications:
• A master's degree preferred; a bachelor's degree required
• 2-5 previous years' experience in a student service/enrollment support role

• An awareness and understanding of the complex needs of adult learners
• Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative environment with continuous shifting in admissions and enrollment goals

• Innovative and creative
This is a remote, flexible temp position. Zoom is the college platform to be used in conducting these sessions. An average of 10-15 hours weekly, early morning, early evenings and weekends. Rate is $55/hour.
