RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA (Core) in Daytona Beach, FL.Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, tuning, troubleshooting, and maintaining Oracle databases in a high availability environment supporting the company ERP. You will also provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for complex database issues. The perfect candidate would be expected to work with members of the App-Dev teams as well as functional and QA teams. This is a senior role that expects attention to detail and critical thinking to be exercised on an ongoing basis.Responsibilities:
  • Oracle DBA (Core) will install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle databases on VMWare platforms, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security
  • Implement and manage RAC Oracle database clusters, including backup, recovery, failover, and disaster recovery, using tools such as RMAN, Data Guard, and Flashback
  • Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring using various tools and methods, such as AWR, ADDM, ASH, OEM, SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL Plan Management, etc.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize SQL queries, and implement best practices for database performance
  • Ensure database security, integrity, availability, and compliance with best practices and standards
  • As an Oracle DBA (Core), you will implement and enforce database security policies, roles, and privileges, and audit database activities
  • Apply patches and updates to address security vulnerabilities and bugs
  • Develop and maintain database documentation, policies, procedures, and scripts
  • Automate and streamline database tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database design, configuration, operation, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 10 years of experience as a core Oracle database administrator in an enterprise environment, with exposure to Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c and later versions
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle database architecture, administration, backup, recovery, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN and Rubrik; Ability to design, implement, and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions for Oracle databases
  • Experience with Oracle database installation, configuration, and management on VMWare platforms; Ability to leverage VMWare features and capabilities to optimize database performance and availability
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc.; Ability to automate and streamline database tasks and processes using scripts
  • Experience with managing and migrating database workloads to Oracle cloud, using cloud services and features such as Oracle Database Cloud Service, Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, etc.
  • End-to-end process understanding and ownership; Ability to manage the entire database lifecycle, from design to deployment to maintenance, and ensure alignment with business objectives and expectations
  • Proficient in Oracle database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting using tools such as AWR, ADDM, ASH, OEM, SQL Tuning Advisor, etc.; Ability to analyze and optimize database performance, identify, and resolve performance issues, and implement performance improvement strategies
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail skills; Ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex database problems and ensure accuracy and quality of database solutions


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
