This role will be accountable for leading and supervising plant production employees and activities across multiple departments to achieve results that meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies. Through influence, goal setting, coaching and leadership, this role will effectively drive KPIs and the development of their teams. Managing workflow, utilizing production capacity and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses. This position works within the structure of the monthly budget to optimize company profitability while growing their teams.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for reviewing production schedules, evaluating and prioritizing projects to meet customer expectations and deadlines
  • Oversee the daily activities required to process the current jobs within established schedule
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision and communicate them to their respective teams
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching, leveraging situational leadership and monthly one-on-one sessions
  • Communicate and provide feedback to management, supervisor team and internal customers on issues and / or problems that arise on jobs
  • Prepare production reports, efficiency reports and other requested reports and distribute to appropriate personnel
  • Review, correct and submit hours worked records for payroll processing
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
  • Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company and help increase the quality of our products and the skillsets of our technicians utilizing real-time quality data

What are we looking for?
  • 3 to 5 year of work experience in automotive, truck based industry or production environment
  • High School degree (GED or Equivalent) required; college degree highly preferred
  • 1-2 years previous supervisory experience highly desired; 3 to 5 years informal leadership required at a minimum
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
