Job Description Summary:
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Global Professional Services Partner Integration team in USA/CANADA, focusing on managed partner integrations (shopping carts, payment gateways, marketplaces) and strategic integrations with Banks and Financial Institutions.

The Global Professional Services Organization delivers technical solutions, experience design, integration delivery and post live technical services to drive product adoption and quality servicing to our customers.

The Partner Engagement Manager will be responsible for helping PayPal's partners integrate PayPal payment and identity capabilities across their platforms, enabling experiences and payments for thousands of merchants and millions of consumers.

The Partner Engagement Manager will coordinate, manage, drive and execute on partner project plans for the successful integration of PayPal solutions into the market. This is a client partner facing role, where the Engagement Manager will work in conjunction with both pre-sale, integration and post-sales teams facilitating negotiations and technical solution brainstorming for a variety of high-volume Partner solutions including web and mobile applications, browsers, platforms, and operating systems.

Verbal and written communication skills are particularly important given the wide interactions that will be required for this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship building, leadership, and team management skills. The ability to achieve result through others is essential to this role.

The candidate selected for this role must have a proven track record of having managed large collaborative efforts that have required creating and maintaining delivery plans, operating rhythms, and execution strategies. This is a hands-on role, with a high touch interaction of cross functional stakeholders. In addition this role will involve interacting with the PayPal core product organizations on the alignment of delivery planning.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Taking the identified business requirements and solution proposal, drive delivery of successful end to end partner integrations through comprehensive project delivery plans, operating rhythms and execution strategies. Own overall project management of the partner integration, internal and external communication, management of work streams across contract/onboarding, testing/certification and pilot/launch. Lead the delivery of partner project together with the PayPal solution and integration engineer.
  • Build high caliber external professional relationships with our partners across the spaces of shopping carts, payment gateways, marketplaces and banks/FIs. Successfully manage partner relationships, through the ability to hold your own in discussions with external partners.
  • Successfully drive a core project team across all phases of the sales cycle; pre-sale with the commercial/sales manager and solution engineer, project delivery with the integration engineer, and post-sale with the technical account manager. Drive engagements across a wider cross functional team of internal PayPal business partners (legal, compliance, privacy, risk, operations etc.) that lead to the timely approval of a proposed partner solution integration.
  • As required, work with internal PayPal product and engineering teams to prioritize the delivery of identified solution requirements to support the partner's integration within the agreed project timeline. Partner with internal PMO on the delivery of these requirements in line with PayPal roadmap.
  • Apply professional services methodologies, project management disciplines, metric creation and management in order to manage complex, multi-work stream efforts. Have an excellent proven track record of managing large collaborative efforts across strategic/enterprise level partnership engagements.

  • Strong competency in cross functional interaction models and metrics development, analysis, and management, ability to synthesize and distill multiple sources of information for a holistic global perspective, understand the market dynamics and impact to PayPal business.
  • Drive consensus on proposed solutions. Effectively partner with product and engineering for best solutions. Ability to implement new services, processes, and manage the continuous improvement feedback loop.

Job Requirements:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English language.
  • Bachelor's with several years of experience, orMaster'sdegree preferred.
  • Several years experience in Engagement Management, Project Management, or Professional Services, ideally in a high paced delivery environment.
  • Experience in global payment products and business solutions.
  • Ability to leverage product and business acumen to deliver payment solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering with people of disparate backgrounds and job functions.
  • Ability to influence, persuade and successfully interact with all levels of client and internal organizations, including C-level executives, middle management, finance and operations, project/technical staff.
  • 10% of domestic and international travel.
  • Current passport and no history of declined visas, or entry refusal to any country.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with shopping carts, payment gateways, marketplaces, banks and financial institutions is a great plus.
  • Master of Science degree or MBA.
  • Ability to analyze strategic objectives and define specific tactical goals required to achieve them.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and SalesForce
