Radiology Tech Aide

PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Radiology Tech Aide works as a fundamental part of the Radiology healthcare team. Works under the direct supervision of a licensed Imaging and/or Radiologic Technologist, reporting to the Clinical Manager/ Director. The Radiology Tech Aide is responsible for assisting registered and licensed Imaging and/or Radiologic Technologists and/or other certified/licensed Radiology staff as instructed during routine procedures (i.e., such as lifting, transporting, and directing patients in and out of the Radiology suite). Responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. Required to float among radiology sections of the department as needed.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma required. Advanced certification or education preferred.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak clearly and understand the English language.
• Enrollment in a Medical Assistant program or Radiology Imaging program preferred.
• CPR certification required within 60 days of hire

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous Hospital experience in a clinical imaging department preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC or other EMR system preferred
