Responsibilities:

  • Recreational Program Development:
    • Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational activities and programs that cater to the diverse interests and preferences of our student population.
    • Develop and coordinate both indoor and outdoor activities, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and personal growth.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Foster a sense of community by organizing events, tournaments, and social gatherings that encourage positive relationships among students.
    • Collaborate with other departments to integrate recreational activities into the overall student experience.
  • Fitness and Wellness Promotion:
    • Promote a healthy and active lifestyle by organizing fitness classes, workshops, and wellness programs.
    • Encourage students to participate in recreational activities that contribute to their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Provide leadership and supervision during recreational activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
    • Mentor and guide students in developing teamwork, leadership skills, and good sportsmanship.
  • Equipment and Facility Management:
    • Manage recreational equipment and facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained, safe, and accessible.
    • Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any issues related to recreational spaces.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.

Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
