Job Description Summary:
The Payments Network Advisory team sits underneath the Payments Processing Product organization. We are a global team that drives cross-cutting programs to enable PayPal to meet payment network obligations. This role will drive programs and projects to ensure PayPal understands and meets ongoing obligations related to card network rules. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, Go-To-Market, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams, amongst others, at PayPal.

Job Description:

PayPal is seeking a payments professional with subject matter expertise in merchant acquiring and e-comm payments in the US market (knowledge of the main global markets is a huge plus) coupled with a laser focus on the customer, to manage the network compliance obligations with our card network partner(s) and other critical external partners, e.g. acquirers and processors. This professional will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Product, Payments, Legal and Compliance to help advocate for and execute on network compliance strategy to further PayPal's critical business objectives. This will include managing seasonal card network bulletins, as well as driving ongoing programs to ensure PayPal adheres to the various scheme rules across our global footprint. You will interact with external network partners by attending regular meetings and participating in industry councils and forums.

  • Maintain elements of the Payment Network bulletin program for PayPal, advising stakeholders on product feature enhancements, rule changes, pricing, dispute resolution, security, etc. to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve unique issues on behalf of our merchants and partners with a strong bias for action.
  • Track and help drive network non-compliance remediation projects, reporting on progress to internal and external partners.
  • Operate leadership reporting forums to align strategic approaches to cross-network obligations such as tokenization.
  • Provide network compliance subject matter expertise to our payment solutions teams, making recommendations to ensure compliance with network requirements while always keeping consumer experience at the heart of that approach.
  • Drive communications of upcoming changes to external stakeholders including presentations to key merchants and development of public website materials
