Position Summary:

The SAP Lead for Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting and ICAP position is responsible for Services within Finance (R2R) solutions implemented at Zoetis. This role will:

  • Deliver the projects within GL, AR, AP, AA, BL, CO-PC modules of finance and controlling
  • Have expert knowledge in Commercial business processes and working knowledge in Manufacturing processes that serves the specific business lines and functions
  • Thorough technical understanding of end-to-end manufacturing, commercial, subcontracting, tolling process, product costing scenarios, Intercompany scenarios, Intercompany Markup calculations, Material Ledger, Banking, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting and ICAP processes
  • Have a detailed level of functional and technical knowledge of Finance module and its integration with Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Order to Cash (OTC), Make to Deliver (M2D) and Procure to Pay (P2P)
  • Have working knowledge of Nakisa, HFM, Serrala, Blackline, tax engines for US and Canada, and tax setup for non-us and Canada markets
  • Have good knowledge of S4 HANA configuration and testing

Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements from business users for approved projects, enhancements & support works to existing SAP configuration or objects
  • Develop, prototype, test and implement various modules within Finance, Controlling and integration with other SAP or non-SAP modules, independently
  • Review and analyze solution enhancement requests to determine complexity and provide resource/cost estimates
  • Work with stakeholders and ZTD teams to ensure that requirements are properly configured in SAP and development objects perform as designed
  • Perform thorough analysis to identify all potential impacts for change requests
  • Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of new and existing business processes
  • Support the functional teams with issues and come up with solutions
  • Perform design and write specifications as needed for workflow, forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (WRICEF)
  • Perform Functional Unit Tests, Operational Qualifications & Performances Qualifications as needed in HP-ALM tool
  • Follow processes to ensure correctness and detailed program specifications, creates quality configuration and objects matching specifications
  • Partner with the business and other IT teams to provide innovative ideas to solve business or technological challenges
  • Work with business counterparts to ensure audit, SOX, and other compliance requirements

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant preferred
  • SAP S/4 Hana certification preferred
  • 7+ years' experience with SAP Finance and Controlling Modules within depth knowledge of R2R processes, with multiple full life cycle implementations
  • Detailed knowledge of Fixed Assets module including assets migration, asset business processes
  • Detailed knowledge of Banking and treasury configuration, business processes within banking
  • Detailed knowledge of General Ledger, new ledger, Accounts receivables, Accounts payables is required
  • Experience in life sciences / pharmaceuticals industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience of various IT practices, including but not limited to, project management, operational service delivery, large project implementations
  • Must have done at least one implementation in product costing
  • Working experience in edge systems like Nakisa, Serrala, Blackline, Tax engines for US and Canada

Technical/Functional Competencies:
  • Identify, propose, and influence technology solutions to build and maintain the optimal data and infrastructure architecture to support the reporting requirements
  • Experience with FI and CO modules configuration in ECC6.0, S4 HANA, in several or all the following areas:
    • Master Data
      • GL Accounts
      • Vendor Master
      • Customer Master
      • Accounts Receivables
      • Accounts Payables
      • Banking
      • Fixed Assets
      • Cost Elements
      • Cost Centers
      • Profit Centers
      • Activity Types
      • SKFs
    • Working knowledge of FICO integration with SAP and Non-SAP Tools
    • Hands on experience in identifying and working through FICO User Exits, BAPIs, Function Modules and directing ABAP developers, ability to debug as needed.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; Fluency in English (verbal and written) is a must
