Summary:
This position will be responsible for Retail Trade financial accounting activities and controls within Kantar APEX and Forge trade systems.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, managing SD accruals, variance analysis, and error remediation.

• Assist with the quarterly audit narratives including field review and score carding, support the trade controller for review and analysis of SOX control adherence and be a key member for internal and external audits including walk-through and transaction documentation.

• Ensure accounting records, monthly accounting close activities, and variance analysis are adequately and properly prepared, maintained and explained in a timely manner.

• Understand the transactional flow through the various trade systems to monitor and ensure accurate financial results.

• Ability to mine for, manipulate and analyze large data sets.

• Build reporting tools (PBI dashboards) and generate accurate and timely ad-hoc reporting from multiple data sources to perform analysis.

• Must be able to interpret results and summarize in a meaningful format to the Sales Organization.

• Support business processes and make recommendations to improve and support Tyson's trade systems and activities.

• Learn business drivers and their effect on financial results.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting degree preferred.

Experience: 3+ years' experience in Accounting or Finance previous CPG experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in roles requiring strong analytical and systems skills. Must possess strong prioritization and organizational skills.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills required including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional partners and leaders.

Computer Skills: Strong excel skills using large data sets and Power BI. Analytical capabilities to understand the data and derive actions if necessary.

Special Skills: MBA or CPA a plus
