Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Media Services, the Senior Coordinator, Media Services provides end-user support to production clients relating to media data integrity, infrastructure (software/hardware) storage utilization and post-production broadcast play-out. The Senior Coordinator supports technical issues and is responsible for providing support to editing professionals, resolving broadcast media related issues and vendor interface/management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates proactively with IT staff to ensure technologies are current and optimized for post-production workflows;
  • Supports pre-production workflows for respective production unit clients;
  • Troubleshoots and resolves media (ingest) related issues;
  • Troubleshoots and supports producers and editors with all postproduction-related issues (e.g.: Edit Rooms, Edit Cubes, Adobe Premiere, Dalet, Avid, etc.);
  • Troubleshoots and resolves media restoration activities of WNET's media assets;
  • Perform additional duties and special projects, as required.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Additional qualifications include:
  • At least one year of experience in a broadcast environment, required;
  • Working knowledge of both PC and Apple Products/ Software and Servers (Windows 7 & 10, Mac OSX);
  • Working knowledge of Media Asset Management (i.e. Dalet) and Non-linear Editing Systems (i.e. Avid, Telestream products, Adobe Premiere);
  • Experience with Xendata, storage solutions, and Adobe Creative Cloud; Azure a plus;
  • Familiarity with production-related equipment/software;
  • Familiarity with cloud-based post-production workflow, preferred;
  • Ability to assess and resolve complex technical issues;
  • Ability to work periodically on-call/weekends.

Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
