DUTIES:

Responsible for the development of high-performance, scalable enterprise data models on cloud platforms. Participate in various activities throughout the systems development lifecycle. Participate in supporting activities including Proofs of Concept and present the outcome in an acceptable manner. Responsible for analysis, architecture, design, programming, and debugging existing and new products to be developed. Mentor team members. Design and implement data models that are efficient, accurate, and scalable. Develop and maintain enterprise data models that reflect business processes and support decision-making. Normalize and de-normalize data models to optimize performance. Develop and maintain Kimball compliant star schemas for business intelligence and reporting purposes. Work collaboratively with the development team to ensure that data models are integrated seamlessly into our systems. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize data requirements. Develop data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency. Maintain documentation of data models, including data dictionaries and metadata. Telecommuting permitted two days a week.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in enterprise data modeling. In the alternative, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in enterprise data modeling.

Must also have work experience with:

• SQL Query Optimization, Relational Database Management System, and Data Warehouse (ER and Dimensional modeling);
• Modeling data into star schemas using the Kimball methodology;
• Modeling data into 3rd normal form;
• Agile methodology;
• Continuous integration, delivery, deployment frameworks and common DevOps practices;
• Working in an onsite-offshore model; and
• Metadata, Data Quality, and Governance needs of Data and Analytics platforms.
