To achieve this, we have one of the most diverse portfolios in the industry and some of the best scientists and clinicians. In the coming years, we have a plethora of next-generation therapeutics entering late stage development and need an experienced communications professional to help position and spotlight these high priority Phase II & III assets.

With a dotted line to the Senior Director, Global Product Communications Lead, Oncology, you will supervise communications for 3-4 priority Phase II & III assets, partnering with Oncology R&D leaders and communications colleagues to position them appropriately, prepare for key data landmarks and congress activities, and ensure a unified story across Oncology.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead on the communications for 3-4 priority Oncology Phase II & III assets.
  
• Partner with Global Product teams and communications colleagues in the broader Oncology Corporate Affairs team to position and spotlight our next-generation therapeutics appropriately in context of our strategy and portfolio.
  
• Take the lead on key data readouts and congress activities related to the priority Phase II & III assets, including the development of press releases, statements, Q&As and internal comms collateral. Prepare for potential issues.
  
• Closely partner with AZ Global Media and Investor Relations colleagues on relevant communications activities and find opportunities for engagement and collaboration.
  
• Establish measures of success and implement relevant evaluation tools for communications activities.
  

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant healthcare product communications experience.
  
• Established track record of delivering impactful, content rich communications programmes across multiple channels and collaborators with demonstrable measures of success.
  
• Understanding of and ability to translate science to a variety of audiences.
  
• Experience of working in Oncology desired.
  
• Confidence around most senior leaders and comfortable delivering alternative viewpoint.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  
• Understanding of and experience of working with the media and Investor Relations.
  
• Team worker with high level of personal accountability.
  
• Able to develop and maintain networks across business and cultural boundaries.
