Caterpillar's Resource Industries Sales, Services & Technology Division (RISST), has an open position as Senior Manager FP&A for the Caterpillar Solutions & Services (CS&S) product group. CS&S is comprised of Job Site Solutions and Safety Services and leverages the power of data, people and process of the extended Caterpillar enterprise to deliver outcome-based site solutions and services direct to customer.

In this role, you will balance strategic ideas with complex accounting principles and financial concepts representing the business to senior leadership across the enterprise. This position reports directly to the CFO of the Caterpillar RISST Division.

What you will do:

• Manage all aspects of accountable analysis, insights and reporting of financial results of the business on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis for the CS&S Product Group.
• Ensure legal entity financial reporting integrity including compliance requirements of a strong control environment and the achievement of other financial and non-financial objectives.
• Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve the financial analysis, business insights, risk evaluation and enterprise learning of solutions selling.
• Drive effective coordination and strong collaboration with enterprise partners including Resource Industries & Construction Industry Product Groups, Cat Financial, Corporate Accounting and Dealers.
• Be a strategic thought partner with the Cat Solutions & Services leadership team to profitably grow the business to achieve it's 5-year strategic plan.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.

What Skills you will have:

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and/or 10 years equivalent experience
• Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Coaches others in the use of financial management practices and tools. Designs financial analysis approaches and modeling specific to the business. Reviews key financial and performance indicators used by the corporation.
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Adapts financial analysis methods to support organizational goals.
• Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Explains the organization's business model and competitive position in the marketplace.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Strong understanding of legal entity accounting and SAP systems
• Demonstrated success and progression in previously held accounting roles
• Prior supervisory experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and executive presence with the ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership
• Initiative, leadership, good judgement, effective organization skills, and accountability
• Ability to resolve issues independently and with worldwide / diverse teams.
• Ability to take an Enterprise point of view and lead with our Values in Action.

• The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL
