Senior Project Manager - Lynchburg, VA

Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the implementation of Health System initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will implement initiatives that are deemed to be intermediate to difficult in complexity. The Senior Project Manager will interface with project leaders, end users (both information technology & business unit), stakeholders, and senior leaders to successfully implement project initiatives per the Project Management Office methodology & process.

Qualifications/Education/Licensure:

High School Diploma is required. Valid Virginia driver's license. Project Management Institute PMI-PMP, or PMI-PgMP, or PMI-ACP. Preferred: B.S. or B.A. degree in computer science, information system management, or project management.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, statements of work and project plans.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before vendors, groups of customers or Centra employees.
Ability to make timely, independent, and effective decisions.
Minimum 5 years' experience managing the implementation of Information Technology software and/or hardware initiatives and/or facility related initiatives.

Preferred: Minimum 5 years' experience managing the implementation of information Technology initiatives related to healthcare.
