The New Hampshire Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

As a Senior Residential Advisor, you will play a leadership role in guiding the residential team, fostering a strong sense of community, and contributing to the overall well-being and success of our students.

Our Senior Residential Advisors are instrumental in creating a positive and caring atmosphere within our residential facilities, leading the team to ensure the well-being and personal growth of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Provide leadership and supervision to the residential advising team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential facilities, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Student Support and Mentorship:
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and emotional support to students, serving as a positive role model.
    • Collaborate with the residential advising team to address individual needs and challenges of residents.
  • Crisis Intervention and Resolution:
    • Lead the team in responding promptly and empathetically to student crises, utilizing effective intervention strategies.
    • Coordinate with the crisis intervention team to ensure a swift and effective response to urgent situations.
  • Community Building:
    • Plan and facilitate community-building activities, events, and programs to enhance the sense of belonging among residents.
    • Encourage a culture of mutual respect, understanding, and inclusivity within the residential community.
  • Training and Development:
    • Conduct training sessions for the residential advising team on best practices, policies, and safety procedures.
    • Identify opportunities for professional development and growth within the team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
  • A minimum of one year Job Corps or related program experience required.
  • A valid in-State Drivers License preferred.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
