Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with external CPAs to ensure timely completion and review of all corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
• Process payments for annual LLC fees and business license taxes.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws to support ownership in devising effective tax strategies.
• Prepare all necessary documentation for Federal or State Audits.
• Evaluate workflow processes for enhancement opportunities and advocate for process improvements or implementation of new software.
• Supervise the preparation of annual 1099 forms.
• Identify and manage property tax assessment opportunities, including handling the appeal process.
• Review fixed asset additions to ensure appropriate tax treatment.
• Provide guidance to ownership on tax implications of real estate transactions as required.
• Perform other tax-related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Understanding of partnerships, including partnership agreements, allocations, and accounting principles.
• 3-5 years of progressive tax experience, including preparation of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA certification.
• Experience in Real Estate is highly preferred.
