Job Summary

This role reports to the Clear Spring Health (CSH) Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer (CFO) and will work closely with the CFO and other senior leaders in the organization. The role will also be a key leader in managing new acquisition opportunities and other strategic initiatives. The role will incorporate understanding of the key performance drivers across the business to facilitate successful integration of acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic opportunities. This role will be responsible for delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate decision-making.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement framework for M&A activity including project plans, risk assessments and implementation plans in conjunction with internal subject matter experts, CSH executive leadership and outside consultants.
  • Develop and implement framework for CSH to perform scenario and what-if analysis to support various strategic initiatives.
  • Provide input on CSH's plan, monthly analysis, quarterly analysis and re-forecast including as related to Risk Based Capital and capital requirements.
  • In conjunction with the CFO, enhance CSH's planning process by developing and implementing appropriate capital efficiency measures
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategies to optimize and/or improve CSH's capital position
  • Develop ad-hoc financial models to support strategic initiatives
  • Special projects to support management presentations
  • Ad-hoc business performance reporting
  • Provide cross training to personnel to improve the overall effectiveness of the Finance team

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Certified Public Accountant, Master's level degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in Financial Management for a Medicare Advantage Health Plan
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving and strategic planning skills
  • Demonstrated superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical ability, strategic planning, organization, project management, and leadership skills
