Service Parts Specialist

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for communicating with internal and external customers via the telephone, email, or written correspondence, for part quotations, orders and technical information. Aids in internal and external part number identification, research and documentation. Manage any other customer issues or concerns that may arise.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email for service part requirements.
• Develop sales quotes and create sale orders for service part requests.
• Research/analyze BOMs, drawings and other technical information to identify the correct parts to meet the customer requirements.
• Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Work collaboratively with Parts and Service teams to find acceptable solutions for difficult customer issues.
• Coordinate with the Material Control Team, Shipping Department and customer to meet customer parts requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple customer requirements at the same time.
• Other duties may be assigned, as appropriate.

• Customer service skills.

• Strong PC skills including SAP and Microsoft Office Products.

• Knowledge and understanding of bills of material.

• Ability to read prints and schematics.

• Flexibility in work hours.

• Strong verbal and written communicator.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2-year technical/engineering/or business degree.

• Comparable technical work experience will be considered
