You will be part of a distributed team that is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity alerts occurring around the world. You will participate in threat hunting activities, gather and share intelligence with the community, and assist in the development of additional detection capabilities or workflow optimizations.

A Day In The Life

  • Continuously monitor security alerts generated by SIEM and other security tools
  • Investigate and analyze alerts to determine their legitimacy and potential risk
  • Differentiate between true security incidents and false positives, minimizing alert fatigue
  • Enrich alerts with relevant context and information for further investigation
  • Prioritize and raise high-risk incidents to Endpoint Analyst & Sr. SOC Analyst for deeper analysis and response
  • Document findings and actions taken for each alert
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
  • Adhere to established security policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted; 0-2 years of related work experience

Experience
  • Knowledge of basic network concepts such as wireless, routing and switching and the TCP/IP and OSI models
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems and how to use the command line of Windows and Linux systems
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and standard methodologies
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity threats facing the world today

  • Comfort in working within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and social skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and threats
