Position: Social Media Manager

Department: Marketing

Work Location: Boston, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

Hybrid Schedule: Helen of Troy associates enjoy the advantages and flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for in office 3 days minimum, and remote 2 days. Any changes to this working model would be communicated accordingly.

What you will be doing:

The Social Media Manager is a key member of the brand marketing team passionate about driving brand awareness and engagement through the effective implementation of content strategies on social media platforms. You will expand the brand's social media community through creative campaigns that drive affinity, build awareness and ultimately consumer dedication. In partnership with brand team, you will craft and implement, social media strategies, set objectives, scorecard and report out on results.

  • Develop and implement social campaigns and activations that effectively drive engagement and overall awareness in partnership with internal production/creative and external agency partners.
  • Set, measure, and analyze social media channels and campaigns
  • Use social media reporting data to measure content performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve results and the customer experience.
  • Manage internal and external relationships with key partners
  • Serve as brand key point of contact for all social media efforts.
  • Promote and facilitate ongoing learning of team members, collaborators, and partners - stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, applications.
  • Collaborate with brand and digital teams on the development of content strategy that supports brand marketing initiatives across channels and platforms to increase brand awareness, engagement, and sales while creating a positive customer experience.
  • Ensure the beauty brands' content is consistent with brand persona, equity, style, tone, and quality standards.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share content daily.


Skills needed to be successful in this role:
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced, growth environment by possessing the experience and knowledge to adapt and apply in effort to move assignments forward
  • Prove ability to persuade and sell others on ideas
  • Skilled at communicating ideas and content improvements with research based recommendations
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and develop creative content solutions
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness
  • Effective relationship and interpersonal skills that support the advancement of brand efforts


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/digital marketing/business or related subject
  • 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, content management, or similar in Beauty, or relevant industry
  • Proven current work experience as a Social Media Manager, Community Manager, or similar.
  • Deep knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Proven ability to deliver creative content (video, image, text, etc.) that is on brand and effective
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword search, Google Analytics, etc. and the role of SEO keywords for SEO copywriting, content optimization, search marketing, and social media
  • Excellent storytelling skills and strong copywriting skills
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills are required for the role
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
