Overview / Job Summary:
The Software Developer position is Responsible for assisting with the development, implementation & management of critical College information systems; assists with management of client-server applications, software development, database development, working with customers and vendors in support of locally hosted and SaaS solutions, monitoring systems and services, and performing critical.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
 

Assists with administration of hosted, SaaS, and desktop computer software to provide access to systems and applications used by the College.Assists with administering, coordinating and improving customer efficiency in the use of Banner modules.Develops in Microsoft SQL and Oracle Database environment.Manages real-time and batch data integration between ERP system components.Assists with the administration of web-based applications.Ensures system security and data integrity.

Analyzes and responds to support requests from students, faculty and staff.Works to become a subject matter expert on assigned SaaS and locally hosted systems.Actively participates in the IT Services team meetings, accepting new projects, informing the team of critical issues and providing status reports on existing projects.The software developer collaborates with cross-functional teams to build, test, and maintain data integrations between SaaS and on-premises systems. They also provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and interface with higher-level support teams for both SaaS and locally hosted enterprise applications.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

Experience with educational information systems is preferred.Experience developing in Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle relational databases and the ability to manipulate data for reporting, data analysis and exporting preferred.Experience in creating and maintaining procedural, functional and/or object-oriented programming preferred.Experience managing Windows and Linux-based servers and applications preferred.Experience managing Cloud Environments as well as supporting 3rd party software in the cloud.Experience with Apache or Tomcat or WebLogic or IIS administration preferred.Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript preferred.Experience with using Visual Basic, Python, PowerShell and/or C# preferred.Ability to interact well with a diverse campus population.Excellent organization and customer service skills.
