RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Alpharetta, GA that is seeking a hybrid Software Development Engineer to join their team.Key Tasks:- Software Development Engineer will develop and execute automated and performance testing for assigned projects to enable delivery of high-quality software products and services successfully and consistently on time, on budget, and to specification
- Collaborate with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing for delivery of products and enhancements and to assure products meet product requirements and quality standards
- Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business
- Work with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to plan and execute automated and performance tests
- Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly
- Identify opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs
- As a Software Development Engineer, you will research and identify root causes of performance issues in partnership with architects, developers, and network and system engineers
- Conduct project reviews, ensuring review criteria are defined, and implement procedures for ensuring quality control of project deliverables
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven automation engineer with experience in JavaScript running in Node.js using a JavaScript automation testing framework such as NightwatchJs, Cypress.io, Jasmine, Mocha etc.
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development and testing tools like Cucumber
- Experience of integrating automated tests with continuous integration pipelines such as Jenkins
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket SCM
- Experience of working in an Agile Development environment (Scrum/Kanban)
- Proven experience with Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid and cross browser testing
- Proficient working with Jira or similar system
- Proven ability to develop and execute automated functional, non-functional and performance testing
- Proactive approach to problem solving and strong research skills (tools/root cause analysis)
- Able to pair with developers
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
