Job summary

The Software Engineer III at Lake Trust is able to demonstrate a deep understanding of full stack languages and technologies and is responsible for the buildout of custom software and complex backend functionality. They are able to work closely with BA, QA, UX, and platform resources as well as other stakeholders and vendors to deliver solutions quickly using the Agile philosophy. The person also supports internal and member facing apps at Lake Trust and takes initiative to ensure the applications are secure and available at all times. Called upon to lead various technical initiatives and acts as a mentor/coach to junior and mid-level developers.

What You'll Do
  • Develop applications, architectures, libraries and reusable frameworks using SOLID design principals.
  • Work with vendors to set up integrations and diagnose issues with production systems.
  • Provide technical consultation and recommendations to assist management with decision making.
  • Utilize Agile and the Scrum methodology to deliver value quickly.
  • Practice secure coding techniques by following OWASP and other standards and best practices.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to develop and update user interfaces with frameworks like Angular, React, Knockout.
  • Experience with IIS, ASP.NET MVC or Web API, SQL Databases.
  • Highly skilled with C#, SQL (T-SQL, PL-SQL), JavaScript (ES6, TypeScript), CSS or SASS, HTML5.
  • Able to configure tools such as Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity, or Gradle to deploy apps with no downtime.
  • Experience configuring IOC/DI frameworks, ORMs such as nHibernate, EF, and Dapper.
  • Understanding of dependency and package management with NPM, nuGet, or equivalent.
What You'll Bring
  • BA/BS computer science/information degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience as a full stack software engineer required.
  • History of coaching and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
  • Demonstrated ability to continually learn new technologies and standards.
