Software Engineer III - DevOps will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams by implementing and managing the tools, processes, and infrastructure necessary to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery. They collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline the integration, deployment, and monitoring processes, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality software.

Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:

In this role you will be collaborating with development teams to establish efficient and streamlined processes for software development, integration, and deployment. Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tasks using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef. Managing and maintaining version control systems and repositories like Git or SVN. Implementing and managing continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI/CD.

What you'll bring:

Successful DevOps engineers possess a combination of technical skills, soft skills, and domain knowledge. Some essential skills for DevOps engineers include:

1. Programming and scripting: Proficiency to automate processes and write scripts for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

2. Cloud computing: Experience working with popular cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.

3. Continuous integration and delivery: Proficiency in tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI to establish and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds, testing, and deployments.

4. Version control: Expertise in using tools like Git or SVN for source code management, version control, and collaboration
