Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer
Middletown, RI
Contract Position
$65.93/Hour
This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Mathematics, or Engineering field.
- 8+ years experience
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Design of electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature)
- Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards
- Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements
- Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
- Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes
- Exceptional communication skills with experience writing technical papers and proposals
