Manages CIL Operations Managers through daily operation activities to ensure all Critical Inventory Logistics (CIL) and 3pl client established contract requirement objectives and expectations are met. Job duties involve carrying out the tactical and strategic task of the operations work force. This position requires a combination of leadership and business management skills. The individual must be able to lead a diverse management team of direct reports and carry out multiple objectives established by the CIL Exec management team. Work closely with other branch departments/ business units to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient branch operation objectives are being met. Interprets operation reports and metrics used in assessing effectiveness and efficiencies of the business. Understands the design of the operational platform, evaluates root cause analysis, and develops corrective measures for operational continuity. Develops and implements recommendations to the CIL Exec management team to increase operational effectiveness and improve customer satisfaction. Responsible for safe and legal handling of regulated materials for all inbound and outbound shipments, including proper separation, palletizing, loading and storage. Responsible for managing employee relations, team building, training, and the performance review process. Effectively translates and communicates CIL objectives to subordinates. Involved in the budget and forecasting process, as well as sharing in the P+L responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education
High School/GED diploma required.
Bachelor's degree/Master's degree/equivalent in Business Management, Warehouse Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other related quantitative discipline preferred.

Minimum Experience
If Bachelor's degree: 10+ years progressive experience in supply chain operations leadership roles and/or warehouse management operations roles with direct personnel management experience.
If Master's degree: 6+ years progressive experience in supply chain operations management roles and/or warehouse management operations with direct personnel management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated experience and understanding of management warehouse operations transportation and handling within a warehouse operation. Knowledgeable of industry-related issues in transportation, supply chain management and use of technology in logistics. Knowledge of Critical Inventory Operating Systems and Processes. Ability to manage 10+ direct reports. Knowledgeable of 3PL work rules and HR procedures. Detailed understanding of financial concepts (budget, forecasting and variance analysis) and associated tools. Proven track record of successful financial management. Ability to learn and understand operations processes supported through technology. Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills (including presentations to internal and external groups). Experience in data and supply chain management analysis and using software applications (SCM software, MS Excel, MS Access). Experience with analytical techniques to define and solve complex problems. Must understand root cause analysis and problem resolution skills. Knowledge of project management skills and applications (MS Project). Systematic planning techniques and process to create realistic schedules define and prioritize goals and objectives. Originate and develop new ideas and concepts to create unique and alternative solutions to 3PL problems. A commonsense approach in decision-making even when dealing with complex problems. Good customer interface skills. Ability to complete all basic and re-currency regulatory training as required. Ability to perform regulatory/compliant spill clean-up function as required. Ability to read and understand current regulatory manuals and current regulations in a time sensitive environment. Ability to work various shifts, holidays and weekends as required.

Preferred Skills:

• Position responsible for Critical Inventory Logistics / Spare Parts Fulfillment operation in Memphis, TN with 24/7 operations.
• Strong business acumen, operational knowledge and experience, demonstrated leadership skills, employee and customer communications,
• Strong knowledge of fulfillment operations processes.
• Demonstrated financial planning and analysis skills necessary.
• Demonstrated 3PL / Fulfillment operations experience with responsibility for multiple operations functions / shifts in a fulfillment operation.
• Experience with shared and dedicated fulfillment operations preferred along with domestic and international picking / shipping, and Dangerous Goods (DG) critical.
• Must have strong communications skills and be able lead a diverse operational team at individual contributor and manager levels.
• Must have at least 5 years experience working directly with customers in a support capacity.
• Should be familiar with nature of industrial 3pl contract arrangements.
• Successful candidate will be able to quickly forecast operational throughput, monitor and manage employee productivity, and work through operational challenges with customers.
• Enhanced quality management skills preferred.
• Familiarity with common warehouse management software (WMS) preferred.
• Experience with industrial safety standards and practices critical.
• Ability to positively influence change and develop desired operating culture

Position will generally be expected to be on site from 12pm-9pm each day
