Description:
I have a full-time permanent opportunity available for a Network Engineer looking to take the next step in his/her career. This role is with a global manufacturing company with a massive portfolio of operating companies under their umbrella. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing the network infrastructure, therefore experience in design, implementation, maintenance, and support is critical to your success.

The following responsibilities will be required:

- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of a scalable global network infrastructure.

- Act as the primary escalation for all network support and troubleshooting issues.

- Manage local LAN equipment consistent with multiple vendors (Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco ASA, Sonicwall, Fortinet)

- Develop and implement standard network practices, policies, and procedures to ensure reliability.

- Monitor network health and institute alerts to reduce downtime.

- Create an IP Address layout and leverage IPAM for effective use of the address space.

- Collaborate with cyber security teams to integrate best practices.

- Work closely with external vendors to help achieve technical initiatives.

- Partner with senior leadership and other stakeholders to establish best practices.

- Help integrate on-prem infrastructure with cloud environment (Azure preferred)

- Provide guidance and leadership while mentoring junior network support staff.

Requirements:

- 6+ years of experience managing complex enterprise networks in a multi-location environment.

- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Cisco Network technologies.

- Strong background in network routing protocols - OSPF, EIGRP, BGP.

- Experience with network design and security principles

- Proficient with network documentation tools

- Familiarity with SDWan, and Meraki.

- Open to 10-15% travel

- Any cloud experience and/or integrating into on-prem environments.

- CCNP (considered a plus)

- SDN - Software Defined Networking (considered a plus)
