Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer that will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and software and related infrastructure. You will be participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This position is offered to a mid-level (5 years minimum) experienced systems engineer who is eager to help drive and support Polypore/Asahi Kasei migration to Microsoft O365 Exchange Online services. The qualified individual will support existing core platforms, custom solutions in addition to creating and assisting with the design of new infrastructures. Duties will also include in participating in break/fix and provide level three support to Polypore and Asahi Kasei.

Hybrid - At least 1 day a week in the office

Core technical skills must include the following:

• AzureAD/EntraAD and Office365 services.

• Minimum 5 years of extensive knowledge and recent Exchange online and Active Directory/ADFS infrastructure experience

• Hybrid Microsoft Exchange on Premise/Office 365 - Exchange Online

• Designing enterprise-level solutions upon technical, application and business requirements

• Knowledge to develop and execute complex deployment scenarios

• Consulting to support hybrid platform solutions and platform rationalization

• Experience with PowerShell scripting required

• Environmental changes - consolidation, platform upgrades, and divestitures of Exchange, Office 365/Exchange Online, and Active Directory platforms

• Migrations from Exchange 2016 / 2019 to Office365

• MS Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022

• Knowledge of MS security (Patch Management)

• Writing Technical & Support Documentation

Additional technical skills & experience desired:

• Microsoft OneDrive & other O365 products (Groups, Teams, Planner etc.)

• Ability to work independently.

• Strong written & verbal communications skills.

• Project Management experience a plus.

• Development of deployment and test plans.

• Methodical approach to problem solving and quick resolution.

• Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.

• Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.

• The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.

• Proven ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; effectively demonstrate products and solutions.

Qualifications:

• MCSE a plus

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, technical degree or equivalent experience.

• Must have broad knowledge of latest Microsoft products and technologies.

• Must be accustomed to executing scheduled weekend and after-hours changes.

• Must be comfortable in responding to unplanned outages that may occur at any time.

• Must have a working knowledge of ITIL principles and working within release schedules.

Travel requirement: Domestic and International, 2-3 weeks of the year
